Who is responsible for your information
MK Nail Academy is the trading name responsible for the information described in this policy. The academy operates online at mknailacademy.online, and questions about your information can be sent to hello@mknailacademy.online.
Information collected when you create an account
When you create a student account we collect your name, email address and an encrypted password. Accounts are used to give you access to the content you have purchased.
Purchase and payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. MK Nail Academy does not see or store your full card details. We keep a record of what was purchased, the amount, the currency, the payment reference and the date, so your access can be granted and supported.
Course progress and handbook reading information
We store which lessons you have opened or completed, quiz and assessment results, the handbook pages you have read and any bookmarks you save. This is used to show your progress and to resume where you left off.
Support enquiries
When you contact support by email we keep your message and our reply so the enquiry can be answered and referred back to if needed.
Cookies and essential website storage
This website uses essential cookies and browser storage only — for signing you in, keeping your account secure, providing access to purchased content and remembering basic preferences such as your place in a lesson. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
Email and waitlist information
If you join the waitlist or email us about enrolment, we use your email address to send launch and early-access information about MK Nail Academy. You can ask to be removed at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
How your information is used
To create and secure your account, provide the content you have purchased, record your progress, answer support enquiries, meet our legal and accounting obligations and improve the course.
How long information is kept
Account, access and progress information is kept while your account exists, because course access is lifetime. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Support emails are kept while they remain relevant. You can ask for your account to be deleted.
Third-party providers
We use Stripe for payment processing, Supabase (through Lovable Cloud) for the database, authentication and hosting of student data, and Lovable for website hosting. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for your account and data to be deleted, or object to how it is used. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
