I’m Michelle Kaseke, the founder of MK Nail Academy. What began as my own journey into the nail industry has grown into a mission to help aspiring nail technicians build genuine skills, lasting confidence and businesses they can be proud of.

MY STORY

From building my own business to helping others build theirs

My journey began with a passion for creativity, beauty and entrepreneurship. As I developed my practical skills, I also began building my own nail business and learning what it truly takes to provide a professional service.

I had to understand much more than nail application. I learned how to manage bookings, communicate with clients, price my services, track expenses, market my work and build a brand that people could trust.

I also understood how overwhelming it could feel to know where to begin. There was so much nail information available, but it was often scattered, unclear or difficult for a complete beginner to follow.

Through my own experience, I realised that learning nail techniques was only one part of the journey. Beginners also needed confidence, structure, business knowledge and honest guidance from someone who understood what it felt like to start from the beginning.

That is why I created MK Nail Academy.

MY EXPERIENCE

Experience shaped by the real world

Hands-On Experience

I have developed my skills through practical experience as a self-employed nail technician, working directly with clients and continuously refining my techniques.

Building My Business

I have managed the everyday responsibilities of running a nail business, including bookings, client relationships, pricing, expenses, marketing and brand development.

Beginner-Focused Education

I have designed my teaching approach around the questions, challenges and uncertainties that complete beginners often experience.

Continued Development

I continue to develop my knowledge, techniques and educational resources so that my students receive clear, practical and relevant guidance.

MY MISSION

To make professional nail education feel clear, supportive and achievable

I created MK Nail Academy to help complete beginners become confident acrylic nail technicians while also giving them the knowledge needed to begin building a successful nail business.

I believe students should not only learn what to do, but also understand why they are doing it. Every lesson is designed to break complex techniques into clear, manageable steps without making beginners feel intimidated or left behind.

Confidence Through Knowledge

I want my students to understand the foundations so they can practise with purpose and make informed decisions.

Education Without Overwhelm

I have structured the lessons carefully so that beginners can progress one step at a time.

Skills Beyond the Treatment Table

I also introduce students to the business, branding and client-care knowledge they need to grow professionally.

Starting something new can feel exciting and intimidating at the same time. I know what it is like to question whether your work is good enough, feel unsure about the next step or become overwhelmed by all the different advice available online.

I created MK Nail Academy to give aspiring nail technicians a clearer path. My goal is to help you understand the foundations, practise confidently and begin seeing yourself as a professional from the very start.

You do not need to know everything before you begin. You simply need the right guidance, a willingness to learn and the confidence to keep improving.
